Inside Mount

Measure the exact width and height of the window opening at the top, middle and bottom.  Use the narrowest width as your Width Measure.  We will deduct ½” from your specified width for clearance.  Order your shade as an Inside Mount.

Be sure to check the Product’s Inside Mount Depth Requirements to be certain you have the window depth necessary.  London and Relaxed Fabric Shades are not recommended for inside mounts or multiple shades on one headrail.

Outside Mount

Measure for the exact width and height of the area you wish to cover.  The shade should overlap the window opening by at least 2” in Width on each side and Height.  Order your shade as an Outside Mount.

Board Mounted – Outside Mount

Measure the width of the window including trim.  Add a minimum of 4” (2” each side).  The Width will vary according to personal preference and the space you have on each side of the window.

Board Mounted – Inside Mount

A minimum depth of 2” is required.  Measure the inside of the window at the top.  Specify that Width as your specified Width.  The workroom will make deductions for Inside Mounts for clearance.

Board Mounted with Side Legs

Many of our Top Treatments are made with "Side Legs".  The fabric wraps around the side legs to keep the style taunt and intact.  The inside width is 2" shorter than the outside width for Cornices and Top Treatments with side legs.  This applies to our Arched Swags as well.
